Recent Tax Changes
The business mileage rate has increased to .585 cents per mile effective July 1, 2008.
2008 is the year to buy equipment. There is a special bonus depreciation of 50% to be deducted in the first year for equipment purchased during 2008. Automobiles purchased for business use also have an increase of up to $8,000 on depreciation taken in first year.
